MEET NICO

i dance. i draw. i sing. i act. i listen to good music. i watch interesting movies. i read novels and books. i cook.

John Andrew, or most commonly known as Nico, was a Research and Development Officer for Food Department of Goldilocks Bakeshop, Inc. He was on his 6th year of service in the said company when he decided to shift environment. With his love to travel, he was once part of the Store Quality Assurance Department beforehand. He got to travel almost the whole Luzon, as far as Quezon Province to Ilocos Sur. With the passion in cooking, transfer in the R and D Department was the biggest challenge in his career. Developing new food products and improving existing delicacies keeps his fire on burning.

Nico was brought up with foods all around. Both his mother and father's side were passionate about cooking, where he might acquired the interest in the field.
 

During the latter, becoming a cartoonist or an architect were his biggest dreams. Sketching and drawing were his passion then. Then he shifted his attention in theater arts were he developed his talent in acting, singing and dancing. Nico even made it to the cut for Joseph: The Dreamer by the Trumpet. When he got in college in 2002, he eagerly wanted to join UPLB Street Jazz Dance Company, the university's performing arts varsity group. Academics and extra curricular activity were difficult at that time but he succeeded in managing both as he entered the group in 2005. In 2006, Nico graduated college at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) with bachelors degree in Food Technology under the College of Agriculture (CA).

After all, Nico's affection with cooking and food have never left him. He was given a chance to be enrolled and finished a certificate course in Fundamentals in Culinary Arts at the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM) at Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City. Being in a food service company and his interest in culinary, Nico also explore the world of Food Styling where he were able to show his artistic - side with foods as his subjects. Working with advertising, doing television commercials for local celebrities and television shows and even styling foods for print ads are his best experience. 

Currently, Nico joined Fresh Healthy Juice Boosters, Inc. whom held the license to operate Jamba Juice here in the Philippines. It is the first franchise in the Asia Pacific. He is holds Innovation Officer position. The said company is under the Max's Group of Companies. He is so excited on what surprises the company has to offer.
